Save the Kyoto Protocol and act against climate change by committing for a second commitment period
Countries of the world are negotiating a global agreement to save the climate.At their meeting in Durban this November, countries will discuss whether the Kyoto Protocol, the only existing climate law should be part of this agreement.
If countries agree to extend the Protocol as one of the main cornerstones of the new global deal, while negotiating a future climate law for all, they will be building on a strong and legally binding system and will be positioned to take ambitious and needed action on climate change.
